«ORTOGRAFIA PORTUGUESA» é o sistema de escrita ou grafia representante comum de todos os dialectos do português falado; a sua base é a história da linguajem portuguesa considerada como língua e como dialecto.	«PORTUGUESE ORTHOGRAPHY» is the common, representative system of writing or spelling all dialects of spoken Portuguese; it takes as its base the history of Portuguese – both from when it was considered a language and a dialect.
Considerada como língua, estuda-se a linguajem portuguesa no ponto de vista de língua fundamental ou língua mãe, de que, por evolução própria, se teem derivado outros modos de falar no tempo e no espaço, depois de assentada a evolução glotolójica realizada em Portugal durante mais de um século já desde D. Dinis, e principalmente durante os reinados de D. Pedro I, D. Fernando I e D. João I.	When considered as a language, Portuguese parlance is seen from the point of view of being a basic or mother tongue, from which other ways of speaking have been derived in time and space due to the very phenomenon of evolution. [These derivations occurred] even after the completion of the linguistic evolution that had been happening in Portugal for over a century since the time of D. Dinis and especially during the reigns of D. Pedro I, D. Fernando I, and D. João I.
Considerada como dialecto, estuda-se a linguajem portuguesa como evolução glotolójica neo-latina ou románica.	When considered as a dialect, Portuguese is studied as a [product of] neo-Latin or Romanic linguistic evolution.
