Die unternehmensexterne Facette sieht dabei Marketing als die Konzeption und Durchführung marktbezogener Aktivitäten eines Anbieters bezüglich (potenzieller) Nachfrager seiner Produkte.	L'aspetto esterno all'azienda vede il marketing come la concezione e l'attuazione delle attività di mercato di un offerente in relazione ai (potenziali) acquirenti dei suoi prodotti.
Solche marktbezogenen Aktivitäten beinhalten in diesem Kontext sowohl die systematische Informationsgewinnung über Marktgegebenheiten als auch die Gestaltung des Marketing-Mix.
