Medicine (from the Latin "medicina," derived from Mederi, means "to cure," "to treat") is the science involved in the study of life, health, illneses and death of the human being, and entails the use of that knowledge to mantain and recover health, applying it to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases.
