Cardiac catheterization is a minimally invasive medical examination of the heart by means of a catheter, which is inserted in arterial or venous veins in the groin, in the inside of the elbow, or in the wrist.
Je nach Untersuchungsziel werden unterschiedliche Stellen im Herzen bzw. in den Herzkranzgefäßen angesteuert.	Different places in the heart or in the coronary vessels are selected, depending on the objective of the examination.
