I'm working on two small translations that will serve as sample translations for an English course (preparation for a translation certificate). I also have to include notes on my approach, so that newbies will know what might be done differently, where free translations are better than literal ones, where thorough research is required, etc. I enjoy this because it also raises my awareness (again) for specific aspects of our work, things that we usually do automatically after a while.
