Foram compostos em sua grande maioria em hebraico e partes em aramaico.	It was mostly composed in Hebrew, and some parts in Aramaic.
Chama-se também Tanakh, acrônimo lembrando as grandes divisões dos escritos sagrados da Bíblia hebraica que são os Livros da Lei (ou Torá), os livros dos profetas (ou Nevi'im), e os chamados escritos (Ketuvim).
