Placebo-controlled studies are a way of testing a medical therapy in which, in addition to a group of subjects that receives the treatment to be evaluated, a separate control group receives a sham "placebo" treatment which is specifically designed to have no real effect.	プラセボ対照試験とは、評価対象である治療法を受ける被験者群に加えて、別の対照群には全く効果を発揮しない様に特別に作られた治療を施すことによって医学療法を試す方法である。
